This notice explains who operates Embossr, what personal data we process, and your choices. It applies to Publishers (creators who sell on Embossr) and Buyers (customers who purchase).

Data we collect

Publisher accounts: name, email, password (hashed), store details, payout information.
Buyers: the email address and name provided at checkout, and order details.
Payments: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
Technical: session cookies needed to sign in and operate the site, plus standard server logs.

Watermarking notice (important)

Files delivered to Buyers are individually watermarked and serialized. Each delivered copy embeds the Buyer's email address and a unique serial number across the file so that a leaked copy can be matched back to the purchaser. This is a core anti-piracy feature of the service. By completing a purchase, the Buyer consents to having this personal data embedded in the file they download. Buyers should not share delivered files, as doing so discloses their own embedded email address.

How we use data

To operate stores, process orders, and deliver purchased files.
To watermark and trace copies for anti-piracy and leak-matching.
To calculate Publisher earnings and process payouts.
To send transactional email (verification, receipts, download links).
To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, storage, email, and payments) under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data. Publishers receive aggregate and order-level sales information for their own store.

Retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and forensic (anti-piracy) requirements. Serial and watermark records are retained to support leak-matching.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@ms-itsllc.com. Note that we may need to retain certain records (such as serial/watermark and tax records) where required or permitted by law.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security (sign-in sessions and CSRF protection). We do not use them for advertising.
